Job Title: Landscape Sales and Project Coordinator
Reports To: Owner
Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000 annual salary

Landscape Sales and Project Coordinator seeks to achieve an exceptional client sales experience and deliver a well-coordinated landscape installation or maintenance project the Church Hill way. They are responsible for project estimating, sales proposals, and assisting with project planning. They are also responsible for managing the job to achieve the schedule and budget and Church Hill Quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential clients to identify their landscape needs
  • Maintain customer database, and project management database
  • Engage with designers to help customer visualize the plan and form the basis of estimates
  • Estimate from plans or site measurements and review with foreman
  • Deliver sales presentations in person or electronically setting expectation for material performance, maintenance and necessary service, as well as contingencies that will affect the final project price
  • Schedule jobs as sales are closed
  • Procure materials and specialized equipment with enough lead time to maintain the schedule
  • Conduct pre-job meetings with foreman and customer
  • Have project site evaluated for underground utilities both public and private
  • Maintain contact with foreman and inspect the jobsite at critical stages to ensure client and Church Hill expectations are being met
  • Manage time data and review with foreman weekly during the job
  • Prepare progress billings at regular intervals
  • Conduct end of job meeting with customer to review the finished project and deliver the final billing
  • Conduct job costing data gathering

Key Responsibilities

  • Sketch construction drawings and sections as needed
  • Support Office Manager’s billing schedule to invoice projects on a regular basis
  • Maintain client files
  • Manage available asset and resources as well as plan and anticipate future resource requirements
  • Post-job performance analysis
  • Sales planning and forecasting
  • Attend all company meetings

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • Two or more years of sales and estimating experience for residential and commercial projects
  • Familiar with takeoff software and web-based estimating software
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written); Ability to communicate using multiple formats (greeting card, business letter, texting, and email)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage/prioritize tight deadlines
  • Time management skills
  • Work collaboratively within a team-based environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate mobile/web applications for time tracking and project management
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools, and equipment required to complete various landscape/horticulture practices
  • Ability to make decisions and follow-through
  • Strong problem-solving abilities as well as a creative and solution-orientated mindset

Work Conditions

  • Work in the field, company office, and home office
  • Work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
  • Work 40-50 hours per week (with occasional Saturdays) with a 7 AM start time during the spring and summer months
